| My Black Beauty quilt has 1,090 hexagons that were hand stitched together. It took me 3 years to complete this quilt. Each flower petal is intricately stitched with a flower design and the center of each flower has a ruched center. To match the color of each flower, 14 different thread colors are incorporated within the quilt. I chose a variegated thread for the stipple surrounding each flower. For the backing fabric, I chose a beige color in order to showcase the quilting designs; the result is a two-sided quilt. |
