Scrap Happy is just that - I was happy to use up a lot of scrappy pieces of material! The beginnings of this quilt came last winter when a fellow guild member put out the challenge to "use your stash" to create something new. I've used the tumbler pattern before and was pleased with the result so I had already started cutting up left overs with the thought of putting a scrappy quilt together one day. Mostly, I was surprised to find out how many bright colors I had in my stash. At first I thought it was too bright; but after it was finished, I loved it. The back was more of a challenge but I was lucky enough to have just the right amount of material for the pattern. Everything came from my sewing room - fabric, batting and thread.
