My sister Gloria and her youngest son, Jason, always shared a love for gardens and especially for the butterflies they attracted. They looked at the butterflies as a symbol of rebirth. In May of 2011 Jason was murdered in his apartment. Since then I have been sending my sister embellished butterflies at random times. This quilt is dedicated to Jason and Gloria.
