I love flowers! As I was going through my fabric stash, I found this fabric that made me think of flowers in the hot summer sunshine. I enjoyed using different techniques for this piece and incorporated a recycled silk yarn from Nepal that I received as a gift. I wanted this piece to have texture and to be a little unexpected, so I created it without a drawing or pattern. It is completely spontaneous and was fun to make.
