This quilt was created using block patterns from Ruth McDowell's book, Pieced Vegetables. Made during the challenging summer we had here in Austin last year, it seemed like a lot more fun sewing a vegetable garden inside in the cool air-conditioning than working in the actual garden outside in the extreme heat and drought.
