The original pattern for this sampler used 7-inch blocks. These have been enlarged to 9-inch. A collection of fabrics by Blackbird Designs were used with other coordinating colors and fabrics. The appliqued and sawtooth border is my design; the original quilt had a pieced border. A silk batt by Hobbs Batting is wonderful to hand quilt.
