I've always loved Halloween and have enjoyed making costumes for my family or "dressing them up" through the years. I decided to combine Halloween fabrics in my stash to make a prairie-point wall quilt that can showcase Little Monsters. The four corners feature archival quality clear photo sleeves which allow for easy and fun viewing of older, or newer, monsters. I added glow-in-the-dark Halloween earrings in the corners to enhance the pictures. The challenges included sketching my design, choosing the fabrics, piecing, freemotion quilting every line and adding prairie points (which I'd never attempted before). I also hand sewed metallic gold thread on the moon's web for added interest. Boo! |
