This is actually an art quilt, but due to small size has to go into the miniature category. I used multiple fabric painting techniques. The fish is painted silk organza that has been appliqued on hand painted cotton. There was no intent to put these two together, but when I noticed the two fabrics side by side, it seemed as though they were meant to be combined. Sometimes just playing with new ideas rewards us with a wonderful opportunity to make something beautiful.
