I was fascinated by a quilt called "Scottish Fantasia" in the book, Quilt Designs from Decorative Floor Tiles by Christine Porter. The pattern is based on the floor of St. Andrew's Church in Inverness, Scotland. I tried to make a quilt that retained the essence of the beautiful floor tiles in this church but used a unique color palette.
